We visited to celebrate a family birthday. The decorations and atmosphere here are full of fun. Lots of vintage wine and spirit posters with character everywhere. Dark lighting, lots of exposed wood, romantic French bistro music playing in the background, St.Charles Place is a perfect location for a special date, anniversary, birthday dinner, or outing with business colleagues. The filets that myself wife and I had were amongst the best we’ve ever eaten. Go there. Eat. Drink. Be happy.

We sat in the room with the giant fireplace. So pretty! I had Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had the NY Strip Steak Au Puivre. Both our meals were awesome! We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend! Entrees aren’t cheap, but the food portions are plenty!!!

The restaurant interior is a vast contradiction to the boring exterior. Think a cross between the set of The Birdcage, a New Orleans red Bordello from an old western, and  a ware-house of movie props. We sat in the bar area which is overwhelmingly defined by a huge indoor tree. Branches crookedly stretching overhead enveloping the bar and seating area.  Warm white miniature christmas lights cover the branches defining the mood of the establishment. Ten inch long red tinsel drapes from the branches, thoughtfully placed and spaced so it gently shimmered and created a slight sense of movement and wavelength overhead. Great place with lots of charm and pretty good food to boot. Just celebrate my birthday at the St Charles place steak house. I had never been there and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside. The place has character for sure. A big, warm fireplace, nice romantic lighting, and interesting decorations makes it very inviting and comfortable. Our waiter was nice. He did his job and made sure we had everything we needed but really didn’t interact with us anymore than that. Which actually, sometimes is nice. The food was excellent. I had the filet and lobster and my girlfriend had the ribeye. Both steaks were prepared just like we ordered them and the lobster was melt (Read the Rest…)
